Please watch an introduction to the major features of Smart Welding Manager, a cloud-based weld mapping, weld tracking, fabrication and welding management software with companion mobile apps.
This post is about how a contractor for Saudi Aramco projects can effectively use Smart Welding Manager to fulfil all the requirements of SAEP-1160. SAEP-1160 is a Saudi Aramco Engineering Procedure (SAEP) for Tracking And Reporting of Welding, NDT And Pressure Testing For Capital Projects. This document establishes minimum requirements and responsibilities for the tracking and reporting of production welding, welder performance, NDE tracking and pressure test verification associated with construction activities at Saudi Aramco facilities. Clause 6.1 of this procedure requires: Contractor to make sure that data management and tracking systems shall have all relevant information to ensure material...
Create welder qualifications easily with Smart Welding Manager, your easy to use software for welder qualifications. In this short video, you can learn how quickly you can create code compliant welder qualifications, WPQ or WQTR to ASME IX and EN ISO 9606-1 standards. Our easy to use welder qualification software module contains the parent material and filler metal libraries. You may watch this video in our YouTube channel also - please click here.
Create code compliant welder qualifications quickly with our simple and easy to use interface. Code rules for ASME IX and EN ISO 9606 are built-in along with the ASME and AWS base and filler metal database. Welder qualifications with up to 3 different processes can be generated. Rule based selection of drop-down choices will make it easy to create WPQ or WQTR. Certificates with digital signatures will be generated with range qualified values. Test reports can be uploaded and will be stitched with the certificate. An advanced search feature will allow you to quickly find welders for process, joint type,...
Weld Australia has successfully completed migration to WeldQ. All qualifications, certifications and welder qualifications awarded for welders and welding professionals in Australia are henceforth done entirely through the WeldQ platform. Read Weld Connect here, the official magazine of Weld Australia. WeldQ is a product of SPMT.
Smart Welding Manager has gone through some changes to make it even easier to use. We have added column level filtering and sort for all columns in multiple entry sheets. This will make it easier to filter the data set that you need: We have added a sequence fill feature in weld mapping to create weld maps very quickly. The weld map in this screenshot took less than 2 minutes to create. Only the first in the sequence of the annotations (W01, F01 & OL01 - each to indicate a weld, flange and o-let) were entered and the rest...
We at SPMT have been busy for the past two years creating WeldQ, a software platform for qualification and certification of welders and welding professionals. It has been exciting to have Weld Australia (formerly known as Welding Technology Institute of Australia), as the first client for WeldQ. WeldQ is a platform that will connect the national welding institutes (also known as ANBs - Authorized National Bodies or ATBs - Authorized Training Bodies) with companies, test centers and the community of welding professionals. WeldQ has these modules: Ability to conduct online examinations or traditional pen & paper and practical examinations; Workflow...
We exhibited for the first time at Fabtech, North America's Largest Metal Forming, Fabricating, Welding and Finishing Event at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov 16-18, 2016. We would like to thank all those visitors who visited our booth. There was tremendous interest in our weld mapping software. There was increased optimism in the audience that the oil price may have bottomed out and the new Trump government may help the manufacturing industry in the US. SPMT is constantly innovating and its robust products are already serving several contractors across America. We look forward to serving more customers embracing our cost...
Australian Welding, the premier monthly magazine from Welding Technology Institute of Australia (WTIA) wrote an editorial about the benefits of using a welding management software. They had written about Smart Welding Manager in this article. You may find it here: https://issuu.com/weldingtech/docs/australian_welding_-_march_2016_-_l I have reproduced an image of this article. It is exciting to see Smart Welding Manager getting recognised by Australia's peak welding institute.
We exhibited for the first time at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC). Several visitors from large EPCs and fabrication companies from around the region visited our stall. There was tremendous interest in our weld mapping software. Most visitors spent a few minutes to watch the demo and were pleasantly surprised with the number of features that the software came with. Most of the activity in the exhibition was centred around products aimed at serving the region that is reinventing itself after the recent falls in oil prices and the emergence of Iran after the sanctions. SPMT...
